Iris graduated cum laude from Leiden University in October 2025 with a Master’s degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law.
During her studies, Iris worked in university education and conducted research in legal scholarship. She also gained committee and board experience within student associations and worked as a legal assistant at Van der Feltz advocaten.
Iris focuses on administrative law and civil law, ranging from environmental and planning law and real estate practice to issues within public administration.
She is able to translate careful, detailed analyses into practical solutions, with a keen awareness of the political and administrative context of each matter. Iris also has a particular interest in fundamental rights. This is reflected in her academic publications, including contributions to Nederlands Tijdschrift voor de Mensenrechten and Mediaforum, Tijdschrift voor Media en Communicatierecht. She is also involved in the editorial team of the student edition of the latter journal.
