Maarten Finkers advises and litigates on private law aspects of real estate in the broadest sense.
His expertise and experience include, among other things, the purchase and transfer of real estate, grid congestion, project and area development, commercial lease agreements, and real rights (such as usufruct, easements, ground lease, building rights, and apartment rights). He also deals with real estate-related legal matters at the intersection of administrative and private law, such as energy law, expropriation law, and the application of the so-called Didam rules. His clients include municipalities, investors, industrial companies, project developers, utility companies, energy suppliers, and other commercial enterprises.
Maarten began his legal career at an international law firm and has been with Van der Feltz Advocaten since 2023. He obtained his Master’s degree in Civil Law cum laude from Radboud University (Nijmegen). During his studies, he spent a semester at the Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Peru).
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Maarten regularly publishes and lectures on topics such as grid congestion, tenancy law, liability law, and property law — most recently in the journals WPNR and TvHB, and for the Academy for Legal Practice (Academie voor de Rechtspraktijk).
