Aslihan Durmus is active in administrative law and spatial planning law.

Aslihan is a dedicated lawyer with a unique combination of academic depth and practical experience. This blend allows her to make complex legal matters accessible to her clients. With her strategic insight and practical approach, she ensures that cases are brought to a successful conclusion.

Aslihan studied at Leiden University and Erasmus University Rotterdam. She completed three university degrees in total: a Master's in Forensic Criminology and a Master's in Constitutional and Administrative Law at Leiden, and a Master's in Philosophy in Rotterdam. Over the past years, she has worked as a lawyer at firms in Rotterdam and Etten-Leur. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Utrecht University on the topic of ‘Enforcement of Soil Contamination’.

Driven by a deep fascination for administrative law, Aslihan has experience with a wide range of legal issues, with specific focus areas including environmental law, enforcement law, spatial planning law, and energy law. She advises and represents, among others, project developers, construction companies, real estate firms, grid operators, industrial companies, and government bodies in decision-making processes.

In addition to advising, Aslihan has gained litigation experience over the course of her career in various administrative law procedures, including cases involving zoning plans, (environmental) permits, enforcement matters, and government liability. She also has civil litigation experience in matters that lie at the intersection of civil and administrative law.

Furthermore, Aslihan is a trusted advisor to governments, assisting them in drafting and implementing policies that comply with regulations. She thrives on tackling legal challenges from a policy perspective and shaping them into effective and workable solutions.
