Mark specializes in environmental law, zoning law, government compliance and government sanctions. He represents municipalities and private-sector parties in complicated development cases involving residential housing projects and real estate transformation projects.
Mark also advises and represents clients in litigation and mediation relating to environmental law, energy law, pharmaceutical law and railway legislation, including permitting issues regulated by public law. Furthermore, Mark advises and assists other law firms with the environmental, spatial planning and zoning aspects of major M&A transactions.
Mark frequently publishes in legal journals, e.g. AB Rechtspraak Bestuursrecht (Kluwer) and De Gemeentestem (Kluwer). He is co-author of Commentary on the General Administrative Law Act (Sdu) and the online commentary module for General Administrative Law Act (Kluwer).
In 2016, Advocatenblad, a legal magazine published by the Netherlands Bar, selected Mark as one of the 35 most striking and ambitious young (under 35) lawyers in the Netherlands.
